HIGH SCHOOL: Winter Off-Season Training
SESSION: Jan 6th - Feb 21st, 2025

  • LOCATION:  Erie High School 

  • TIME:  3:00-5:00pm

BENEFITS:

Pre-Season Training is far and away the best way to ensure a productive, enjoyable, enriching season.  The foundation of the season is formed the during the off-season and leads to an exponential increase in performance.  Additionally, pre-season training is the best way to prevent injuries.  

 

FOCUS:

Daily guided coaching by experienced coaching staff.

Foundational Off-Season Sprint, Jumps, Throws and Endurance Training.

Sprint Development, Speed, Agility, Power, Drills, Plyometrics, Strength Training.

Stretching, Mobility, and Recovery principles.

WEEKLY OVERVIEW  FOR SPRINTERS/JUMPERS:

  • MONDAY: Drills, Plyometrics, Hurdle Mobility, Wickets & Strength Training in Weight Room

  • TUESDAY: Drills, Plyometrics, Sprint Conditioning Workout on the Track or Hills

  • WEDNESDAY:  Drills, Plyometrics, Technical Work with Event Coach & Strength Training in Weight Room

  • THURSDAY:  Drills, Plyometrics, Sprint Conditioning Workout on Track or Hills

  • FRIDAY:  Drills, Plyometrics, Hurdle Mobility, Technical Work with Event Coach & CORE

WEEKLY OVERVIEW  FOR DISTANCE CREW:

  • MONDAY:  Workout - Strength/Endurance Focus

  • TUESDAY: Recovery Run + Speed Drills and Strides & CORE

  • WEDNESDAY: Long Run

  • THURSDAY:  Recovery Run + Strides or Hills & CORE

  • FRIDAY:  Workout - Speed Endurance Focus

 

INCLEMENT WEATHER:

We will plan to keep the same scheduled practice regardless of weather and will communicate in a timely manner if practice is cancelled.  If conditions are not suitable to be outside then we will shift practice indoor inside the High School.  Distance runners will train outside most days!  If school is cancelled then we will not hold practice on those days.  

 

NOTE:

Due to this session falling during the Winter months,  proper clothing is required! Warmup pants, sweatshirt, long sleeve, jacket, gloves and hat should be brought to practice daily regardless if the weather seems unseasonable warm.

​COST/PAYMENT:

  • $275

  • Sibling Discount - $275 for first student-athlete and $175 for each additional sibling
